I love this piece. The NL Design Table is made from reclaimed pine (from a Houston Heights home) and reclaimed steel (from a construction site dumpster).

This Substantial Slab Bench is beautiful! The hand burnished flame finish and polished surface is so different and gorgeous.

Touches of Blue and White!

My mom has forever loved using blue and white to decorate with. I mean, she LOVES those colors together. Used in a room, blue and white give the space a crisp, clean, classic look. Blue and white decor is also very on trend right now. ( You will see more of it in our Justin Timberlake post tomorrow!)

Designer, David Lawrence recently designed a Hampton home using plenty of blue and white touches. I love those rugs!

The fabulous blue and white rug is from Madeline Weinrib. Rattan benches on said rug are from Mecox Gardens.

I love this little area so much! Antique cast-iron table with leather top and chairs from Ralph Pucci.
Another incredible rug by Oscar de la Renta for Elson & Company.

More Doors Repurposed!!

After the good feedback from the “Repurposed Door” post a couple of weeks ago, I was inspired to find more ideas and pictures to share. Here is what I found.

I love this door that became a bench! The hinges and doorknob are still attached. Wonderful.

I love the look of this door that became a bookshelf! I bet this would be pretty easy to do too.

Absolutely LOVE this look! This is an old horse stall door that became a sliding cabinet door!

More Design Please also shared this Kitchen Bull knife block, book shelf, cheeseboard combo by toro legno!! I love this! What Texas kitchen could be complete without it?!?
Ladies, how have you lived without this pink glitter tote (from Maryam Nassir Zadeh)?!? Thank Summer for finding it for you!
Gosh I love this room!
She also found these beautiful River Mirrors by Caryn Moberly. Gorgeous. They are made from burred elm and made to look like water flowing between 2 river banks.

CC’s 5 Faves: Dining Tables

Dining tables are often the central meeting place of a home. You eat there, hang out there, work there and if you have kids, they play on and under the dining table. I went looking for my 5 favorite dining tables and this is what I found.

This is the Magnolia Round Dining Table. I prefer round tables so naturally I am drawn to this one but I also love the sculpted base and natural look of this one. And the Saragossa Chairs are gorgeous too. (The table is also available in a Dark Oak finish)

I adore this Eero Saarinen Tulip table! Very large surface, simple design and lots of leg room underneath. Check out the almost identical Wilco Table at High Fashion Home!

LOVE this Quantum dining table designed by Jason Phillips!! Hand formed heavy gauge steel wire makes the eye catching base for the lacquered orange top. AMAZING!!

A closer shot of the Quantum table.

The Santomer Dining Table is SO incredible. The mahogany base beautifully highlights the multiple textures and colors of the wood table top. Classic.

And last but not least, I love the Louis Dining Table. I love the shabby chic, antique look and the gently curved legs.
