Scarp Ridge Lodge

Tucked away in the heart of the Rocky Mountains is the Scarp Ridge Lodge. What used to be a 19th century brothel has been made over into this incredible mountain getaway. The neutral, modern interior decor is chic and a little bit rustic and the views are amazing. Time for vacation!!

Incredible Makeover in D.C.

Before and afters are so exciting! Taking a space and completely transforming it into a totally new place takes some planning and brilliant execution. Solís Betancourt & Sherrill took a worn down, lackluster apartment and created an elegant, refined and cozy home.

Dutch Door House by Magnolia

You may already know Chip and Joanna Gaines of Magnolia from their HGTV show, Fixer Upper, or their blog or maybe from working with them. Fixer Upper is now in it’s second season and they recently aired an episode on The Dutch Door House. Chip and Joanna worked with the home owners to completely makeover their new house; giving the exterior a facelift, opening up the interior and creating a warm, inviting and beautiful place to come home to everyday. Magnolia used several pieces from High Fashion Home as well (noted below) and we thank you, Magnolia, for including us in your write up on the incredible Dutch Door House. We are huge admirers of your work!! 🙂

Bathroom After – LOVE IT! Looks like the Talia Bathmat from Anthropologie.

The Jacob Chair fits perfectly in the corner of the nursery.

Incredible Attic Transformation

The attic is often the most forgotten part of a home. Whether you use it for storage or for nothing at all, the attic is usually just left plain, dank, web ridden…. you get the idea. The owners of this home decided to makeover their attic space into a play area/guest room and, it’s fabulous! Great design, simple colors and well placed accents make for quite an incredible interior.

Perfection in Patmos Greece

I am truly beginning to believe that nothing unpleasant looking exists in Greece. This Patmos home was renovated by a Paris-based fashion executive and she simply improved upon the existing, beautiful bones of what were once stables. Lots of incredible outdoor sitting areas add such great warmth to this home and the white washed walls are classic Greece design. Gorgeous.

Santorini Paradise!!

The Santorini home of hotelier, Costis Psychas, is about as perfect as I can imagine. First, it is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, Greece. Second, it has a history; it used to be the warehouse for  a pumice mining operation that was on the Santorini Island and part of it used to be under water. Third, the inside is so beautifully simple and cozy (also, I’m a sucker for the rounded ceilings and arches). A lot of love went into the restoration and renovation of this space. Fourth, did I mention it was on a Greek island? OH! And the bathtub?!? Oh yes. : )

Ex-Cement Factory = Gorgeous House??

I don’t think that many of us would include an old cement factory on our list of places we would want to make our home. That being said, you may change your mind after seeing this one. Spanish architect, Ricardo Bofill, was so inspired by one ex-cement factory that he decided to turn it into his home and offices. Have a look —-
