I found this house while browsing freshome today. I love the clean design and easy furniture pieces. Plus they seem to have a thing for alternating the colors of the chairs. Interesting. And the backyard is FANTASTIC! (all photos from freshome)
This HUGE opening to the backyard is awesome!!!
The dining area is so lovely. Such simple furniture and I love how they alternate the chairs with clear and white. And their little office area is tucked neatly in the corner.
I found this incredible Manhattan apartment today thanks to Elle Decor. It was recently completely redone by acclaimed interior designer, Steven Gambrel. To say that this home is beautiful is an understatement. There isn’t one room that wasn’t done to perfection. Enjoy! : )
The living and dining room is so spacious and Mr. Gambrel put seating everywhere! I love that this area has a lot of furniture but the flow of the space isn’t interrupted at all.
Lately, in several different magazines, I have noticed the use of black paint as the main wall color and then today I came across a post on Apartment Therapy mentioning the use of black walls in small spaces. What do you think? Does anyone have black walls (or a wall) in their home? Chalkboard painted walls don’t count. ; )
I love the look of this dining room! Keeping the furniture and other accents on the lighter side save this room from looking like a cave.
A Breakfast at Tiffany’s inspired penthouse suite that is to die for! It has beautiful structural lines the extenuate the walls and glamorous elements that top it off. Every room has details that all Audrey Hepburn fans would adore. I would love to live in this hotel room, it would be my home away from home. Maybe one of this days I’ll save my earnings to muster up a measly $8,500 a night!
I am in love with the dining area. The walls and that chandelier are the cherry on top!
Beautiful touches of blue added to this space.
The structures on the wall give it a cool dynamic that is fun to look at.
My favorite part of this penthouse. The flowers add the perfect touch.
Dining tables are often the central meeting place of a home. You eat there, hang out there, work there and if you have kids, they play on and under the dining table. I went looking for my 5 favorite dining tables and this is what I found.
This is the Magnolia Round Dining Table. I prefer round tables so naturally I am drawn to this one but I also love the sculpted base and natural look of this one. And the Saragossa Chairs are gorgeous too. (The table is also available in a Dark Oak finish)
I adore this Eero Saarinen Tulip table! Very large surface, simple design and lots of leg room underneath. Check out the almost identical Wilco Table at High Fashion Home!
I came across this dining room while visiting the House Beautiful website. I think this dining area is amazing! I love the round table, the chairs are gorgeous and the pink accent wall looks beautiful.
This room is from a beach house in Georgia. I like the shell pictures on the walls by the arched entryway (I absolutely love arched entryways!). The chandelier is very complimentary to the space and the chairs look awesome….. the chair shape is very similar to High Fashion Home’s Stella chair.
And because the other colors in the room are very neutral the pink accent wall just pops and looks fabulous! The color is Pink Carnation by Glidden.
