Amazing Bathtub!!

I am not really sure it can be called a bathtub because it’s unlike any tub I have EVER seen. I came across this bath area via Pinterest (and they found it via The Messes of Men who got it from French By Design who thanks Architectural Digest, WHEW!) and I just had to know what it was made of. Apparently, it’s a giant piece of granite hollowed out and sculpted to be a tub. Not the least expensive tub around but what an exciting, unique and beautiful design.

The unsightly plumbing pipes are hidden in the wooden box! Clever.

Stella Love Furniture!

No, my name is not Stella but I do love furniture. More importantly, I love great furniture pieces. I came across the furniture creations from Stella Love today while checking out a new (to me) blog by Second ShoutOut (SS are passionate about vintage contemporary pieces and will have their own online marketplace soon). I adore the Stella Love creations (available through Nube Green)! She uses plaid fabrics and vintage Swiss Army blankets to bring life to these old furniture beauties…. (she also makes clothes!) Enjoy!

Swiss Army Club Pair. Covered with vintage Swiss Army blankets.

The Very Victorian Settee is Very Beautiful! The stripes and the plaid! I love the peek-a-boo plaid on the underside of the cushions.

Channel Back Armchair. I love the gray and yellow together.

Swiss Army Storage Bench. I love this thing! Christmas present anyone? ; )

Blogs We Love: More Design Please!

I found More Design Please today while browsing the fabulous Internet. More Design Please (MDP) is a fun blog created by Summer and she shares some fabulous fashion finds, decor ideas, food and design ideas! Take a peek. : ) I will definitely have More Design Please!
(all photos from More Design Please)

MDP shared Slow Wood Tables. I love these pieces! They are handmade with natural finishes and mineral paint.
More Design Please also shared this Kitchen Bull knife block, book shelf, cheeseboard combo by toro legno!! I love this! What Texas kitchen could be complete without it?!?
Ladies, how have you lived without this pink glitter tote (from Maryam Nassir Zadeh)?!? Thank Summer for finding it for you!
Gosh I love this room!
She also found these beautiful River Mirrors by Caryn Moberly. Gorgeous. They are made from burred elm and made to look like water flowing between 2 river banks.
How about some yummy Dirt Cups! Crushed Oreos, chocolate pudding and more!

Pallet Wine Shelving!! DIY pallet ideas are everywhere!!

Black Walls. A New Trend??

Lately, in several different magazines, I have noticed the use of black paint as the main wall color and then today I came across a post on Apartment Therapy mentioning the use of black walls in small spaces. What do you think? Does anyone have black walls (or a wall) in their home? Chalkboard painted walls don’t count. ; )

I love the look of this dining room! Keeping the furniture and other accents on the lighter side save this room from looking like a cave.

The paneled walls look fantastic and check out the black and white striped wall in the other room!

Black and white bedroom… Nice.

Great looking room. Love the mirrored coffee table.

How about black in the kitchen? The turquoise doors looks amazing with the rest of the room.

Cocoa & Hearts!!

Cocoa & Hearts is an online shop from Jen Ramos, the creator of Made By Girl shop and blog (we blogged about some prints from Made By Girl awhile back). Jen sells her own original artwork through Cocoa & Hearts. Her pieces are simple, very colorful and would be complimentary to just about any space.

Lipstick Dots 5. I love the colors used in this one.
Colors 3. Several of her small paintings, grouped together on the same wall, would look fantastic!

Blogs We Love: Fancy House Road

I found Fancy House Road while searching for yellow decor ideas earlier this week. The site is run by mom, Debbie, and her three daughters, Camberley, Keighley and Kiersten. They blog about Home Decor, Fashion, Food and anything else they feel like. I love their “Quote of the Day”!

Love the ocean inspired decor post!

They love Pinterest too!
