Beautiful Bar Carts via Apartment Therapy

I love bar carts. While their main intention is obvious, I love that the bar cart can be re-purposed as a side table or even a unique piece for extra shelving. Apartment Therapy recently included our Element Glass Marble Bar Cart on their list of 15 beautiful bar carts.  Thank you, Apartment Therapy!

The Element Bar Cart is a sleek juxtaposition of iron and marble. Love the bottle rack on the lower level; super helpful!

Apartment Therapy’s – Smallest Coolest Homes of 2014

Apartment Therapy’s 10th annual Smallest Coolest Homes Contest just concluded and they crowned their US and International winners. I LOVE their Smallest Coolest contest so much! You get to see the owners creativity at work, making some inspiring things happen within a small footprint. These homes are high on style and design and offer some fabulous decor ideas.

The Home of Erin Hiemstra of Apartment34

I love Apartment Therapy; who doesn’t, I’m sure. I love their home tours. They recently featured the home of Apartment 34‘s, Erin Hiemstra. Erin’s home decor is simple and refined with a very organic and subtly elegant mix. The open floor plan and huge windows help the space feel so large and flowing. Love it! Exposed Ceiling Beams

I have long loved the look of exposed, wooden ceiling beams. Whether the ceiling is vaulted or straight, painted or natural wood (I do prefer the look of natural wood), exposed beams are a great visual addition to a space. You can even fake, exposed beams by installing natural wood on top of your existing beams. Here are some shots I found inspiring.

Curtain Call!

Curtains, curtains, curtains! I have been browsing curtains for a couple of weeks now and have come across so many fabulous ideas and designs. The right curtains can add so much to a room and really complete the space. Hang them as high as possible too, that will make the room look bigger!

Plate Collages!!

Art comes in all shapes, sizes, colors, textures and sometimes in the form of plates. A great plate collage on the wall can be just the statement piece your space was missing. Plate collages are super versatile too. Mix and match plates, matchy match them all, use different sizes and shapes….. Here is some inspiration!

A great mix of white and color!! Love.
