Steel Framed Windows

Simple, clean with a touch of industrial, steel framed windows are hot business right now. Steel framed windows look so polished and chic but still laid back and not overdone.

I browse a lot of interiors…. a lot. Lately I have been clicking on quite a few projects by interior design firm, Chango & Co. Founded in 2009 by Susana Simonpietri, Chango & Co. offers their clients vibrant, layered and interesting spaces that look impeccably put together but still cozy.

Hamptons Home of Malcolm Carfrae!

What comes to mind when you think of The Hamptons? Beaches? Parties? Ina Garten? 🙂 When I think of homes in The Hamptons, I think of pale wood shingles, gorgeous gardens and lots of white; which is exactly what Malcolm Carfrae’s home looks like! Malcolm is head of communications for Calvin Klein and his home is just a classic and put together as any CK design. Easy furniture pieces,  natural wood and soft colors are used throughout Malcolm’s home and the result is simply beautiful.

Cameron Diaz and Kelly Wearstler, UNITE!

When Kelly Wearstler and Cameron Diaz put their heads together to redesign Cameron’s Manhattan apartment, they were going for sparkly sophisticated but homey. Mission accomplished!! Kelly used lots of gold, silver, burnished metals and copper, just to name a few. The emerald cabinets in the kitchen are amazing and the glass tiles lining the bathroom walls are oh so wonderful!

The L.A. Home of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen

I love this house. I love the antique-y feeling of the interior, a somewhat old world aesthetic. The furniture is classic and complementary to all the reclaimed wood and natural stone used everywhere in their home. Gisele and Tom worked with architect, Richard Landry, and the interior design talents of Joan Behnke to make their house as comfortable and environmentally friendly as possible. Love it all.

Interiors by Ana Antunes

We have been featuring a lot of interior designers lately and an interior designer that definitely needs to be noticed is Ana Antunes. Ana’s designs are so full of personality, life, color, refinement and, not to mention, great ideas! I love her work.

Tufting, How Do I Love Thee???

What would the world be like without tufted furniture? Well, I suppose we wouldn’t know what we were missing if it never existed in the first place but since it is here, I would be SO disappointed if it ever left. Something about tufting just adds interest and a bit of sophisticated glam to a piece. The subtle gathering, the perfectly round button just give a headboard, ottoman, chair etc., a little extra something special. You know what I mean…..

Our Albert Bed just wouldn’t be the same if it were left un-tufted.
Those ottomans would be slightly less fabulous without the tufting.
