Oh, chandeliers. If you want to glam up a space, throw a chandelier in there. If you want a more romantic feel in your bedroom, add a chandelier. If you want to make a statement in a room, do it with a chandelier. Chandeliers add sparkle to any space and, let’s be honest, who doesn’t want more in sparkle their room?
I was recently introduced to Gather & Build (thanks to Pinterest “Home Decor” searches) and I am in love with their blog!! The blog features lots of great before and after pics and design ideas. I had to share their Bradford Avenue project because the final result is simple fabulousness!

With incredible views of the Pacific, beautiful natural design and an all around comfy sophistication, this California home is close to perfect! I love all of the exposed, natural wood and stonework mixed with great furniture pieces….. Did I mention the view?? 🙂

I love it when people use a lot of color in their home. The Brisbane home of Helen and Chris Bayley (they own Lovestar) is so fabulous and full of vibrant color!! They have kept their background white and used wall art, pillows, chairs, pottery etc. to give great bursts of color. Love, love!

The wait is over! I couldn’t be happier for new parents Prince William and Kate Middleton who welcomed their baby boy into the world yesterday at 4:24pm London time. Landmarks all across London lit up blue to celebrate the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s baby boy. All the excitement got me looking up royal blue (what a fitting color for the occasion) everything and I wanted to share some of what caught my eye.
Row houses are not the most common form of architecture for today’s residential structures (at least, not here in Houston) but are they making a comeback? Matthew and Tina Ford of Shade House teamed up with Holden Shannon to design and build Row on 25th in the Houston Heights. The homes are of simple design and can be outfitted in 2 different styles – laminated kitchen cabinets and ash flooring OR stainless steel kitchen cabinetry and reclaimed wood floors. The interiors are spacious, open and modern and each home has a small patio space for enjoying the Houston weather. What do you think??

This Manhattan apartment is only 800 square feet but you would never guess it while flipping through these pictures! There is so much color, so many great prints, fantastic art pieces and such fabulous furniture. Designer, Ashley Whittaker, didn’t let the small size of this space keep her from treating it like a penthouse. Those wallpapers! Love it all.
