Who’s excited about Jason Wu for Target?!? I AM!!! Mark your calendars now! From February 5 – March 6 this year, Jason Wu’s Target collection will be in all Target stores. Now, anyone who remembers the Missoni collection at Target will recall how FAST all that stuff went and I have a feeling Jason Wu’s items will be just a popular. Check out some of the collection below. If you do venture to your nearest Target on February 5th, please, be a friendly shopper.

I am so loving all the different DIY garlands out there! Make them holiday themed, colorful, flowers, pom poms, starfish… the ideas gone on forever. Just another cute and easy way to “festive it up!!”

I found Houston based, Edie’s Lab, on Etsy today! Their Reclaimed Wood Letters caught my eye but those aren’t the only neat-o, Made in Houston things in their Etsy shop!! Check ’em out….
Have you ever seen those huge, concrete drain pipes and thought “Hey, those would make great hotel rooms!”? No? Well, Andreas Strauss did and he created a “hotel” with them. There are 2 Das Hotel locations; one in Austria and one in Germany. The rooms are incredibly minimal with just a bed, lamp and a skylight. The hotel is also unique in that the cost of a room is “what you want to pay”. A different idea indeed.

I have always loved white rooms and white furniture but I am not brave enough to actually have an all white (or mostly white) room or sofa, for that matter. But I do love all the white. It’s so bright, so clean and everything goes with it!
My friend, Kerri, told me about the Daddy Long Legs Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. It’s small (only 13 rooms) and every room is completely different. Owners of the hotel gave various artists complete creative freedom to paint, fill, create the spaces however they wanted to. The result is an eclectic mix of rooms that you will not find in any other hotel. Book a room if you are ever Cape Town bound!
I am not really sure it can be called a bathtub because it’s unlike any tub I have EVER seen. I came across this bath area via Pinterest (and they found it via The Messes of Men who got it from French By Design who thanks Architectural Digest, WHEW!) and I just had to know what it was made of. Apparently, it’s a giant piece of granite hollowed out and sculpted to be a tub. Not the least expensive tub around but what an exciting, unique and beautiful design.
The unsightly plumbing pipes are hidden in the wooden box! Clever.
